Our nets are made of very solid knotless polypropylene netting (PPM), which you can get from us in different twine thicknesses and mesh sizes.
Compared to conventional round bale nets, which are sewn in a box shape, our nets have a cylindrical shape and are manufactured to fit the various round bale sizes. This means that the bale retains its "shape" even when the amount of hay decreases and less "excess" net material remains.
Not only can you offer your animal hay in small portions throughout the day with our hay nets, but you also save up to 50% as considerably less hay is represented.
Accessory 1: Optionally, you can also purchase a very sturdy hot-dip galvanised iron ring, which is firmly connected to the edge of the net. This ring makes handling much easier, as the ring with the net only has to be put over the round bale, no lashing or tensioning is necessary. You can increase the weight of the ring by filling it with dry sand (quartz sand). For this purpose, we have provided the metal rings with an opening and a plastic clip for closing.
Accessory 2: Alternatively, we can also offer you a ring made of PE pipe with a diameter of Ø 32mm. This ring is intended for self-assembly and is supplied with a brass connector and braided line (for attaching to the ring). We recommend filling it with dry sand to increase the weight.
Accessory 3: We can also offer you a galvanised iron chain to increase the weight. By simply "threading" it through the lower edge meshes, the net gets the necessary weight to slide easily over the bale and then lie securely on the ground.
A chain link is included accordingly to connect the two ends.
Accessories 4:Dismountable 4-piece iron ring with an oval tube cross-section. This is simply put together, no further connecting elements such as screws etc. are necessary. Due to the design, the ring is not completely round, but this has the advantage that it can be turned to fit oval round bales that often occur. The disassembled ring also allows a much cheaper transport.
Note: Experience has shown that it is better to choose the net 10 cm larger in diameter, as round bales vary.
